We Check On You provides caring service to seniors.

Our mission is to provide our clients with courteous, reliable and quality telecommunication service seven days a week. We Check On You provides a daily friendly and caring voice on the telephone to our clients who:

  • May live alone
  • Are seniors
  • Are sick or shut-in
  • Have no other responsible person, family members or friends to make contact on a regularly scheduled basis
  • Have family that is out of the area.

What We Do

We provide a series of scheduled daily calls (either in the morning, afternoon or evening) depending on the schedule you choose. We also call with midday reminders. This is especially important in the instance when someone who needs to take medication at specific times.

We also provide temporary services during caregiver absences.

Where We Call We Check On You is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, but, our clientele is national. We provide calls for people from Washington State to Washington, DC.

Rose Toney, Founder – We Check On You

Rose Toney, president of We Check On You, has over 25 years in the Health Care Industry. She has held responsible management positions, including, but not limited to customer service, planning, marketing and technology. In 1996, she conceived the idea of We Check On You, a personal telecommunications company whose mission is to assist elderly, convalescent, those who have no family, or who live alone in their quest for independence by offering reassurance and reminders on a daily basis. This personal services is available for caretakers if and when they are unable to contact loved ones in an ongoing and timely manner. We Check On You was born out of a personal family need for communicating on a daily basis with an elderly grandmother and aunt who are independent, and live alone in other states.

Service providers make telephone calls to clients reminding them to take their medicine, and routinely ascertain their state of well being. We Check On You provides assurance and comfort that a friendly, courteous and reliable service provider is only a telephone call away. To meet the needs of a diversified community, our service providers are also fluent in Spanish, Chinese, and Russian and are available upon request.

What a great service to have, my kids are busy and I don’t talk to them that much, except sometimes on weekends. I have my church family, and I go out maybe three times a week. So it is nice to talk to someone to make sure I am okay.

I live alone and I have no family. I got the flu real bad and felt that I needed someone to check on me daily in case I got worst. The calls really did help and I decided to keep the service since I was so alone.

Questions about Senior Calling Service

Frequently Asked Questions

Q – Can I tell you when I want you to call me, or do I have to go by your schedule?

A – No you do not have to go by our schedule. You let us know when you want us to call. Calls are made within a one hour time frame, once you have given us your schedule.
(Example 7 am to 8 am)

Q – It takes me a long time to get to the telephone, how many times will you let the phone ring?

A – The normal is up to 15 rings, if more are needed, this information will be obtained from the client or their representative.

Q – Do you provide other services, besides daily calls, such a running errands, taking clients out for lunch, shopping?

A – At the present time, some services are available in San Francisco only.

Q – Can you provide short term service for 3 to 4 months?

A – Yes, we can provide service for 1 month and up.

Q – What do you do if there is no answer when call?

A – We continue to call, until someone answers, or we call the emergency contact person. The time frame for these calls depends on the clients.

Calling Service for Seniors

We Check On You contacts the client regularly and through our conversations, we may be able to detect a new health issue and prevent a potential emergency. As an example, calls to older, fragile elders keep them connected to the outside world. These calls enable them to socialize and feel less isolated and alone, while maintaining an independent living environment.

A partial list of our services include;

  • A brief daily call (365 days a year).
  • Reminders to take medication.
  • Reminders for appointments.
  • Regular telephone contact with homebound persons to check on their well-being and safety.
  • To assure that the client is safe and well enough to answer the telephone.
